Review of ‘Taste of Korea’ @ Latest Recipe, LM Gurgaon

Latest Recipe at Le Meridien Gurgaon always comes up with enticing new flavors to please the palate. The ‘Taste of Korea’, an enticing Korean festival is running from 1st to 17th April at the hotel. It is put forward
by Korean Master Chef Wang and Chef Park.

Le Meridien is the place to go
for the authentic Korean flavors this summer. Large tables adorn the calm, artistic
space at Latest Recipe where couples, connoisseurs and business meetings
ruminate over the scrumptious Korean delicacies. The festival aims to balance
acute Korean flavors for the palate. Lunch is a good time to sit back and enjoy
the flavors.
A section is laid out that displays
Korean delicacies.The methodical, segmented approach is spread in compartments
that have simple, easy to manage sections.
Its menu revolves around Bibimbap, a
central Korean dish meaning literally ‘mixed rice’. It takes the form of a
brilliant, warm stew of white rice topped with sautéed seasoned vegetable, meat, fried egg and
soy sauce.
Try the Kimchi to start with. The
Kimchi, a pickled Chinese cabbage, is seasoned with garlic and chilli that is
refreshing. The hot mixture of fiery chilli and garlic soaked into the soft
flesh of a pickled cucumber is extremely sinful. For fish, try the Sole or Salmon
drizzled with Korean Barbecue sauce, that is tender and mouth-watering.
The mains are where the magic
happens.  The hotel does not mess much with
the Korean tradition – so traditional Gimbal and Kimchi Hot Pot take centre
stage.
The Korean Fried Chicken covered in spring onion, sesame oil, ginger and
soy, is a treat to share with friends and family. You can enjoy a glass of wine
to enjoy the flavors even more.

Other innovations include Korean
black pudding, Korean salads and, for dessert, hoddeok – a sweet Korean pancake
coated in maple syrup and served with ice cream.
The Korean food festival is on
