Navratri Thaali experience @ Sattvik

Navratri is all about
purification of the mind, body and soul. The pure elements made with light
ingredients are consumed in these 9 days that are consumed while thanking the
Goddess. Delhi has several restaurants that have come up with enticing variety of
thaalis to embark the celebration of
Navratri.

I was invited to review the Navratri menu @ Sattvik in Select City
Walk, Saket. Sattvik literally means pure.

The restaurant echoes the essence
of health and well being. Its interiors blend well with the simple ingredients
and warm hospitality that are fused together to give diners the perfect
experience.

The table was set to take us on a
culinary odyssey of simple sattvik food. The manager offered some delectable
paneer tikkis that were shallow fried. My daughter loved the tikkis and
devoured them to her heart’s content.  They
were soft, tender to eat and fully flavorsome.
Two drinks made with fresh juices
were served. I loved the watermelom drink served in a pineapple shell. The
thaali arrived that had sabudana ke
paapad, raita
seasoned with some cumin seed and mint, aaloo ki subji, paneer, arbi and some salad.
Accompanied with kuttu puris, samwat chawal, chhaach, this spread looked well presented
and tasted delicious. The highlight of the meal is the dessert that includes kheer that seals the meal on a charming
note.
The Navratri thaali @ Sattvik introduced us to divinity with its flavors and
satiated our heart to an extent difficult to express.
