Mothers play a very pivotal role
in shaping their children’s lives, but while they are nurturing their children,
they forget how to enjoy themselves. The International Mother’s
Day was conceived to celebrate motherhood and to give the well deserved
attention and care to all mothers.

This mother’s day I was invited
by my dear friend Vickrham (Vicky), Founder,
The Curated Buzz by Foodmaniacs who curated the event with an exciting
cook off between passionate cooks and home chefs.
The venue was Courtyard
Marriott Gurugram, a luxury hotel in the heart of the millennium city.
The Event –
The cook off was a fabulous way
to rejoice and celebrate motherhood. After careful selection, there were 8
teams who were finalized for the cook off. The list of guests included media
fraternity and mothers who have contributed in the society.
Deepa Antil,
President of the Sashakt Nari Parishad (SNP)  which is a social organisation empowering
women and has a strength of more than 5 lac women was also present at the event
said” Every woman should be economically and physically strong,  only then a nation will rise and shine.”
Sheelu Tyagi,  Mrs. North India was also present to motivate
the mothers and encourage them. The eminent judges,  Masterchef
Sanjay Raina-Mealability well known name in the Kashmiri Cuisine.
Maneesh Srivastav a well known Blogger from the The Urban escapades. Vickrham (Vicky)  Founder – The Curated Buzz by Foodmaniacs and
Exec. Chef Shailender Khanna Courtyard Marriott Gurugram declared the winners.
Ashima Duggal won the first place
for her delicious chicken creation. Second place was captured by a simple
Vegetarian dish made by Radhika Jain and 3rd prize went to Himadri for her oil
free healthy dish.
Besides the fabulous celebration,
Courtyard Marriott Gurugram had also arranged a special Masterclass in which
they taught to make an eggless Red velvet cake. 

I enjoyed the celebration with my mom who I met after a long time. The
entire concept of bringing together mothers to rejoice and be free was
beautifully crafted.
I have to admit Vickrham Vicky had executed the event
quite well. There was laughter, fun and dance coupled with amazing food and
drinks. I specially loved their mocktails and desserts the most.
