En – Distinctly Japanese

I have always preferred Thai food
over any other cuisine. While researching for some good places to enjoy the
cuisine, I came across En – A Japanese Fine Dining Restaurant. Located near the beautiful Qutub Minar, this place
is a visual depiction of art and culture that is beautifully depicted through a
variety of art forms and statues from Japan.

Meticulously designed, En is an
architectural marvel that offers a unique dining experience in a distinctively
beautiful setting.
The wide parking area and the lush surrounding totally impressed
me and made me fall in love with it the place instantly.
The resultant is located on the
first floor and has a beautiful terrace that overlooks the charming Qutub
Minar. We preferred to sit on the terrace and enjoy the winter cold while
soaking in the surroundings.
The team of En is extremely
polite and courteous. So while they ushered us to the terrace, they ensured we
were made comfortable with warm seating. The well lit space looked very enchanting indeed.
The special touch

The Chefs have put together a
unique compilation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies to present a
meal comprising authentic ingredients and traditional flavors.
The use of
authentic hand-pounded spices such as Thai holy basil, mint, cilantro,
lemongrass, and galangal (Thai ginger), and premium ingredients ensure that diners are served the most exotic fare that
is truly traditional yet enhanced with a touch of modernity.
The menu of En is vast and so
while browsing through it, the Manager assisted us with some salads and starters to begin
with.
Salads –

The first salad was the Ebi Mayo salad which comprised of mayo,
light batter fried prawns and zucchini. The salad is definitely a good spin on
the conventional rubbed salads, complete with tempura yuzu mayonnaise that was
hard to identify but succulent to eat.
The salad was gone in a few seconds and
satiated us to a level impossible to express. We also relished the Prawn
Tempura. The light batter fried prawn with tentsuyu goes perfectly well with
drinks like Manhattan and Qutub Affaire which are the signature drinks of En. The drinks cleansed the palate,
and primed our taste buds for starters.
Starters –

The Aburi Salmon Sushi is served
with sweet chilli dip. This is a baked salmon and asparagus roll with egg.
The sushi
is soft and tender that goes well with chilli dip. Next we tried the Sashmi –
Maguro Akami, tuna, salmon, Shake ad Ebi. Flavored with lemongrass, the
Sahisimi is, served with sweet chilli and is the perfect conjugation of taste
and flavor.
The appetizers were pleasing and
we enjoyed them truly. To make the journey more enticing we were served the Miso Soup – A Traditional Japanese Soy Bean paste soup,
Shitake Vegetable soup
and Cheick egg soup. I personally loved the Chicken egg soup.

Main Course –

The chef recommended us to try
the Chicken Kung Pao, Thai Green curry and Teppanyaki Seabass along with some
garlic fried rice in the main course.
The Chicken Kung Pao gives true
justice to the Japanese main land with its consistent flavor of basil in every
bite. This dish is highly recommended for people who love chicken in gravy
style.
The authentic flavor of Thai echoes very well in the dish. It was this dish
that stole my heart. The essence of coconut and lemongrass takes you to closer
to bliss.
For seafood buffs, the teppanyaki sea bass is
the perfect choice. It has the right balance of herbs and sauces. It occurred
to me that seabass can be spicy, active and playful.
Dessert –

We closed the scrumptious meal
with chocolate muffin and chocolate fraise fruit roll.  The former one is a delight for kids, while
the latter is enticing to look and devilish to devour.

Conclusion

The En Restaurant surpasses the other places with respect to service, ambiance and food. I would recommend this place for people who love fine dining and enjoy authentic Japanese cuisines.
