Cyprus food festival experience @ ITC Maurya Delhi

Cyprus – a paradise that offers
breathtaking views of the sea and sun is a destination that satiates the soul
and enlivens the spirit. We got a chance to dive into its magnificent
flavors at ITC Maurya  New Delhi that took us on a fabululus gastronomical odyssey.

The festival was on till 16th December, but the aroma of the pleasant flavors still lingers on in my mind even now. Organized by the Cyprus High Commission and ITC Maurya, the festival marked the celebration of life that was showcased through a presentation. The venue that was chosen was Ottimo that houses a grand variety of continental delicacies. 

The ambiance of the Restaurant swept me off my feet with its luxurious interiors and warm vibe. Pleasant attendants ushered us inside and offered us a glass of wine before we could soak in the pristine atmosphere of the place.
The best thing about Ottimo is the stunning view of the ridge covered with thick lush trees that adorn the entire space. The sight is breathtaking as nowhere in Delhi can you enjoy such a scenic view.On the center table, there was a beautiful display of pink and white flowers which looked stunning.

The Sun was beaming in though the wide windows and made the interiors sparkle even further. The Hon’ble High Commissioner of Cyprus inaugurated the event and gave a short speech on Cyprus as a destination that has a variety of things to offer for the inquisitive traveler.
Cyprus is famous with its wide variety of dishes. There was a humungous array of dishes that included hummus, salads, fish, chicken and pork. The beetroot hummus was my favorite and I helped myself with multiple servings.
I also loved the Sea Bass made with rock salt – a specialty in Cyprus. The fish stole my heart and satiated my soul to an
extent that is beyond expressing. I loved their dark coffee, a specialty of Cyprus that has the finest beans. Also worth mentioning are their desserts that included dark chocolate mousse and cakes.

The hotel ensured we took back memories of Cyprus on our way back. We were escorted out with a kit that had useful information on the beautiful Cyprus. I plan to visit the beautiful place this year and pen down my experiences.
