Courtyard Unplugged – Happiness Unplugged!

Two things make for the magic at
any restaurant: (1) the food, and (2) the music that plays in the background.
Courtyard Unplugged delighted me with these two. Located in the lively area of
CP, Courtyard Unplugged sits pretty with its outdoor seating arrangement.

Just next
to the Odeon cinemas, this place attracts hip youngsters and office goers. As
you approach the place, foot tapping music lures you towards it.

A big tree in the center evokes
serenity and greenery as you enter. A walk up the stairs takes you to a wide
spacious area with comfortable seating that has their own private space. The
ambiance is perfect for enjoyment with friends and families.
The Nutty Jack

The restaurant feels like the
breezy yet cozy home of a hospitable place, familiar and full of warmth. Our table gave an overview of the
attractive and enchanting beauty of CP at night. We enjoyed the cool breeze
under the fan and enjoyed the live counter of grills at the corner.

The server
served us some every enticing drinks to begin with. A cucumber Crape, The Nutty
Jack and Beer Draught that were the perfect thirst quenchers for this month.
The fantastic menu of Courtyard
Unplugged etches a conjugation of the traditional Indian and a dash of
continental. The description of dishes would indicate some kind of medley.

I spotted an interesting salad – Orange
Chicken Caesar salad with lettuce that complimented sizeable chunks of tender
chicken.  Its simple heartiness made for
perhaps the most enjoyable savory dish I had that evening.

Ganna Chicken

Our first starter was the Ganna
Chicken. It was zesty and spicy and surprisingly light. The sugarcane sticks
play a very pivotal role in accentuating the flavor of the dish.

The main thing
to keep in mind is that the sugarcane needs to chewed while biting into the
chicken to get a wholesome taste of sweet and spice. It’s a fabulous take on
the usual chicken seekh kababs.

Chilli Paneer Ghosla

Next was the Unplugged Chicken. I
really liked the way the chicken played off; the fattiness of the chicken
accentuated with the tangy dip. The Chilli Paneer Ghosla was
another dish that took me by surprise. I loved the crunchiness of the fried
noodles that went perfectly well with the stuffings inside.

Aam Ras

The Aam Aadmi Chicken is a perfect meal in a box for one person. It includes a small
box that consisted of rice, daal and chicken added in it. The meal is complete
in itself where you can enjoy the complete delicacy.

We ended the meal with a very interesting
dessert called the Lollie’s Antigrill. The flavors that come with this amazing
ice cream are chocolate, berry and kiwi. The aam ras on the other hand is similar to
the humble mango soufflé that looked delicious and tasted heavenly.

Visit this place for great food,
ambiance and music on any day.
