Christmas Trail with Le Meridien New Delhi

The Christmas celebration this year
was a fabulous experience at the Le Meridien New Delhi. I was invited to be a
part of the Christmas trail by the hotel and embark on an odyssey that
celebrated the luxe dining experiences at their exquisite restaurants.

Meet
the guiding star

The trail began at the lobby
where a beautiful Christmas tree was
illuminated. Each time the hotel ushers in
the festive spirit with a
beautiful theme and ensures guests enjoy their time
at the hotel.

The
Christmas Tree
The Santa Claus and his elves
welcomed the guests with a warm smile,
while the carol singers enlivened the atmosphere
with their
scintillating rhythms and added a cheer on everyone’s face.

       Elf
Workshop

A beautiful set up was created to
embark the festive spirit. The elves helped the kids to create Christmas decorations.

         Christmas
Treat @ Longitude
Longitude has always been my
favorite when it comes to food and coffees. The illy coffee is a very special part
of Longitude where guests relax in the cozy chairs and soak in the warm ambiance
of the place.
There was a wide variety of sweet delights, interesting finger
food, enticing drinks and a sinful plum cake. The cake cutting ceremony was
conducted amidst all the guests who clapped and rejoiced in the festivities.

I loved
the plum cake that was made with a sinful combination of nuts, alcohol and
spices. We even tried our hand in creating lattes with the baristas who helped
us diligently.

 Christmas
Cocktails @ Nero
Next we moved towards Nero where
mulled wine and delectable starters awaited us. It was amazing connecting with
people and making new friends there. We got to experience great taste of food and wine amidst great company.

Gala
Christmas Dinner
The Christmas trail would be incomplete
if the dinner isn’t mentioned. We were ushered to their fine dining restaurant
called Eu De Monsoon where a beautiful spread invited us. The turkey was placed
on the table, while the talented Executive chef, Devinder exhibited his
craftsmanship with his culinary skills and prepared cranberry sauce that paired
perfectly well with the turkey.
The gala diner comprised of vegetarian
and non vegetarian delights. I opted for the former one and was pleased with my
decision once the dishes arrived. The Amuse Bouche was served in the beginning that
was a combination of hot and cold flavors taken down in one shot.
The starters
included Broccoli, char grilled asparagus and bell peppers that looked
delectable and tasted divine. I was in loved with the flavors. The main course
that followed was the Uttapam stack, kaafir lime scented stew, roasted tomato and
sesame chutney that was flawless in the presentation and pleased the palette in
each bite.

The
North Pole
The best was yet to come with a
trip to their roof top dining that served Chinese cuisine – Le Belvedere. We
reached the top of the hotel and gazed at the glittering lights of the capital through
their wide windows. The dessert that was prepared live before us included a chocolate
infused pancake paired well with vanilla ice cream.
The Christmas Trail came to an
end and we concluded the odyssey by exchanging contacts with new found friends. The
journey was beautiful and the treat to the taste buds was enticing and amazing.

Le Meridien once again proved its versatility and creativity in unlocking the festive spirit with its beautifully crafted walk towards the delectable flavors of the hotel.
