Chai Di Party @ Eros Hotel – High Tea with a difference!

Tea time usually brings people more closer. A short tea break during an office meeting or families coming together to enjoy conversations over tea and make mundane days interesting. The rich flavor of different spices infused together evoke a feeling of happiness.

The taste of tea gets even better if
there are delectable Indian snacks to go with it. I was invited by the Eros hotel
for a delectable review of Chai Di Party at their Tea Lounge. The friendly
staff of the hotel made my evening tea very special indeed.

Beautiful elements of
tea decoration were spread at each corner that added to the special vibe in the
décor. The aroma of tea endeared me even further as I was browsing through the
menu of Chai Di Party.
Accompaniments like Bhujia ki
Bhel, Dhokla ni Dhokla, Aloo Matar Samosa, Bun Maske Wala, Jalebi ki Chaat,
Roll
and Bhajia and CDP snack platter elevated my curiosity level further and I
was looking forward to relish them.
The chai platter arrived first. Each item on the platter tasted good. I tried ‘fan’ for the first time. My first
experience with this humble snack was a delightful one. The softness and crispiness
of this snack brought a smile on my face.
The Ghar ki chai that went with it was
irresistible. Flavors of cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, ginger make this tea
world class. I tried the aloo mattar samosa. I must say this samosa is very
different from the usual ones.
The small size and enormous stuffing make these
samosas look adorable and delicious to savor. I was surprised to taste the
Jalebi ki Chaat. Presuming it was sweet; I took a bite but was surprised to
find it savory. The mint dip on it added to the surprise element.
The Bhujia ki
Bhel
filled inside a thin and crispy papadum was also very satiating.
The crispiness was intact and the spiciness of the bhel made this snack
spectacular. The icing on the cake was Bun Maske wala.
This was another
surprising element as I expected it to be savory, but it came out to be sweet
and delightful. This was the most scrumptious sweet delight ever tasted. It
went well with the blueberry sauce and maple syrup.
The sambharam is a thirst quencher. The savory
buttermilk is tempered with mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies. The
drink is divine and serves and tastes heavenly. I would also recommend the
Jamun Thanda and Jaljeera which are unconventional drinks that are a perfect
combination of taste and presentation. The festival is on till 30th
April and if you love chai, you must visit this place.
