Cake Mixing event @ Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon

On the 4th November, Crowne Plaza Today Gurgaon invited
me to be a part of the fabulous cake mixing event at their Brazilian restaurant
Wildfire. It was an exciting process where people from different places come
together and enjoy mixing ingredients, syrups and alcohol to make it the
perfect plum cake that gets ready for Christmas.

The place was brightly lit up
with the gigantic container with all the ingredients. The best part was liqueur
that added to the fragrance and made it more alluring.
The chefs at the property explained the process and
significance of the cake mixing ceremony. The process usually begins a month or
two prior to Christmas Day, as the sumptuous ingredients require plenty of time
of set in order to create a perfect Christmas cake.
Gloved hands gently knead a
massive confluence of flavors – dried fruits, nuts, spices, a
multitude of spirits, golden syrup and many more.
The workshop sought to
educate the guests on the tradition of Cake Mixing, wherein Christmas
puddings are often dried out for weeks prior to serving in order to enhance the
flavor. The sinfully delicious event guarantees the rich and heavenly
pudding that families look forward to all year!!
