Caffe Tonino @ One Horizon Center Gurugram – A Vibrant & Friendly Cafe

These days there are varieties of restaurants in Gurgaon, but only few are there that have the perfect amalgamation of taste and visual appeal. Few days back I visited a vibrant café called Tonino @ One Horizon Gurgaon. Located on the first level of the luxurious tower, this
place has families and corporate groups as regular diners visiting frequently.

What keeps this place alive is the brilliant décor, smiling waiters and fresh aroma of succulent meals. I happened to visit the place with my family on Sunday and was amazed to find the place filled with laughter and music. Since it was a weekend, there were several families enjoying their food and drinks.

We were welcomed by the restaurant manager, Mr. Badal who ushered us to the table at the far end. As I looked around, I was very impressed with the seating arrangement. The restaurant displays a lively surrounding that is a visual treat. The colorful artifacts cheer up the mood instantly as you walk inside the beautifully decorated place.

While the floors display artistic finesse, it is the wall décor that catches the eye. There is an ample space for couples and a big family gathering. Consistent with Indian culinary preference, the menu features vegetarian and non vegetarian options. While I was admiring the selection of dishes, a plate of fresh bread with a basil and
salsa dip was served – a succulent start indeed.

We devoured it with warm Minestrone soup and Zuppa di bocolli. The former one was rich with a tangy hint of ripe tomatoes that hardly overpowered the flavor while the latter was a delectable combination of broccoli and cream. We loved this soup.

The Executive Chef began the culinary odyssey with a hearty salad called the Insalata di Barbabietole salad,that is definitely a good spin on the conventional rubbed salads. Complete with sundried tomatoes, rocket leaves, olives and feta cheese, it was succulent to eat.

The salad was gone in a few seconds and satiated me to a level impossible to express. The Buffalo chicken wings we ordered next was a smorgasbord of flavor and taste. The prawns we ordered
next had a delectable flavor. The dishes were bursting with favors.

For the main course we ordered the River sole Fillet and Chicken Breast. We specially loved the Sole fish – the marinated river sole in cilantro is served with diced vegetables that are a visual delight and add to appeal the taste buds. The mashed potatoes make up for the perfect full meal.

The meal was concluded with a brownie and ice cream, that simply teased our senses and satiated the palate. Tonino is a perfect choice to hang out with your close friends. You must visit it for a fabulous experience and great memories!
