Excuse Me Boss – Fine dining in the bustling life of CP

The opulent interiors of EMB

As the lights fade, the alluring
city lights in the capital’s heart beat, CP come up with action and corporate
executives look for a decent place to enjoy a drink and a scrumptious meal to
indulge. Excuse Me Boss; the new kid around the block works
on a simple mantra: Good Food, Good Times, Day and Night.

A revitalizing Cafe Bar, EMB
encapsulates the flavors and textures of various world cuisines but also
reinvents itself keeping in mind the time zone and mood of its customer.
Launched a few months back, it is
soon acquiring the trendy city life with a bang. Sanjeev Goswami, the Director
of EMB coined the title of the place with the help of his daughter, Soumya. Keeping
today’s youth in mind, the title is apt that gives an exciting, multi-faceted
feel.
The décor –

As you enter the restaurant, a big
red rope catches your eye. The spacious restaurant has tables of two, four and
eight placed at different corners of the restaurant that gives diners freedom
to walk around or even dance. Usually, a large gathering of corporate or
families can be well accommodated here. The rustic setting, be it the bar
stools or nouveau and chic polished furniture blends well both with a bistro or
a club setting. The live musical acts of interesting
themes like Sufi, Bollywood, Karaoke, etc not only make the atmosphere at EMB
exciting, but also network with like-minded ‘bosses’.
The Service –

Scrumptious salad to tease your taste buds

The service of EMB is very
courteous and exemplary. After we were seated, attendants took our order while
suggesting the choice of food. The menu at EMB has an interesting array of
great salads, soups, pastas, fajitas, pizzas, burgers along with hot-n cold
sweet temptations. If you love chicken, try the Lemon grass chicken.
Presented beautifully, the dish has a lemon grass flavor on the chicken breast
mixed with few green vegetables and creamy chilli pesto. Mediterranean food
lovers can include Hummus with Pita. The fresh hummus made with chickpea goes
well with pita bread. We were served the Cucumber Punch and Rusty Nail that
satiated our thirst and went well with the appetizers.

If you are looking
for some tangy taste, you will surely devour the Chicken dry red chilli. The chicken
is roasted and flavored perfectly in the slow kitchen and prepared with Chinese
spices and dry red chillies; truly divine and a great choice as an appetizer.
The Lotus Ferry is one of the unique options to try at EMB. Laced with garlic
sauce, it is deep fired and served hot and crispy. Mouth watering it is, the
dish is crunchy, yet soft and can be enjoyed without any chilli sauce.

Scrumptious grilled chicken breast

Though it can be hot for soups,
but the minestrone soup at EMB is worth a try. Mild flavored, the tangy broth
has diced veggies that are tender and devoid of any corn flour. Enjoy the soup
with a crunchy Caeser salad. The main course in the menu has some flavorful
options, but if you are a fish lover, you must try the water fish; the most
unique dish at EMB. The dish is prepared with boiling oil and served on a bed
of lettuce. Its gravy consists of pepper corns and veggies that are simmered
along with the fish. Though the preparation is oily, it can be well accompanied
with rice. Close the meal with sweet nothings; the sinful Brazilian nut. The
chocolate brownie goes perfectly well with vanilla ice cream that ends the meal
perfectly well.
